EarthFest
Saturday, May 3rd, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Market Square – 7 Beckwith Street
The 3rd Annual EarthFEST is a fun-packed, grounding and enlightening festival, that celebrates and honours the many local and Canada-wide initiatives protecting our fragile environment. This family-friendly event hosted by our Carleton Place Environmental Committee, kicks off with a moving drumming circle and sage ceremony, setting the tone for a day of discovery and connection. Engage in the hands-on workshops and presentations or bring your eco questions to the many experts that will be on hand. Meet esteemed author and sustainable gardening expert Lorraine Johnson. Enjoy live entertainment, a sustainable fashion show, an artisan market, and delicious eco-friendly food while exploring local nonprofit booths showcasing environmental preservation efforts. For both EarthFest, and the Indigenous Cultural Fair (Zion Memorial Church), Lanark Transportation will run shuttles from Anderson’s Independent Grocers Parking lot.
