There are two public beaches in Carleton Place, one at Riverside Park which also includes public washrooms off the Canoe Club, a splash-pad, playground and picnic area. The other is across the river at Centennial Beach.

Riverside Beach

Riverside Beach is equipped with a play structure, splash pad, washroom facilities, picnic tables and trees to provide cool shade on a hot day.

Centennial Beach

Just across the river from Riverside Beach is Centennial Beach. Enjoy the day relaxing in our picnic area and cooling off in the Mississippi.

Both beaches are open from mid-June to the end of August. During this time, lifeguards are on duty from 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Please note that hours may be reduced due to inclement weather or beach closure due to pollution. Water quality is tested by Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit. All patrons must respect closure signage.

Carleton Place Pool

Enjoy an indoor swim in our 25-meter pool or relax in the therapeutic pool. Small children will love to splash in the warm wading pool.
