The contest runs from March 1st to December 31st, 2025. These giveaways would not be possible without the partnership of local organizations and businesses.
There will be two giveaway periods:
- First giveaway period: March 1st, 2025 to July 31st, 2025
- Second giveaway period: August 1st to December 31st, 2025
Overview
The Explore & Win: Carleton Place Visitor Survey(“giveaway”) is being administered by Carleton Place Tourism (“administrator”) in partnership with local tourism stakeholders, including local business owners.
Personal Data Use
All data collected will be used in a strict manner and will be kept confidential unless given permission by the beholder of the information. This feedback will be used to help inform future tourism initiatives.
Eligible respondents who complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win one (1) prize package valued at $1000, which includes:
Giveaway package for first period:
- 2 Night Accommodations at The Comfort Inn & Suites ($400 value)
- Breakfast for 4 at Freska Cafe ($100 value)
- 4 x 2-hour passes for Kayakomat ($200 value)
- Private aviary tour at Parrot Partners (for up to 4 people) ($100 value)
- Dinner for 4 at Zak’s Diner ($100 value)
- Downtown Carleton Place Gift Card ($100 value)
- Behind the scenes tour of the Carleton Place & Beckwith Heritage Museum
Giveaway package for second period:
- 2 Night Accommodations at The Carriage House Airbnb ($600 value)
- Breakfast for 2 at Foundry Coffee Bar ($50 value)
- 2 Full Day Bike Rentals ($50 value)
- Gift Card for Mahogany Spa & Salon ($100 value)
- Dinner for 2 at Boulton House ($100 value)

Eligibility
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. By participating, survey respondents agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the contest. The giveaway is open to survey respondents who:
- Are at least 19 years of age at the time of entry.
- Have previously visited Carleton Place, and do not live, work or own property in Carleton Place.
- Fully completed the online survey with valid information. Incomplete or duplicate surveys will be considered void and not eligible to win.
- Be able to show proof of visitation if selected as winner (photos, receipts, bookings etc.).
- Each separate visit to the Town of Carleton Place is eligible for a survey entry, meaning multiple visits will/can result in additional valid entries and more chances to win.Separate/different visits must have at least five (5) days in between and would not be considered duplicate entries.
- Successfully complete the skill-testing question.
Winners & Prize Collection
One (1) winner will be chosen at random for the prize draw. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be chosen and contacted after the draw date. Thewinning entry will be verified for eligibility and the winner will be contacted via email or telephone, depending on the preferred contact method as entered in their survey response.
The contacted winner will have 72 hours to respond. If no response is received within the allotted time, another winner will be chosen at random. The prize package can be picked up in person from the Information Centre, (170 Bridge Street, CarletonPlace), during regular business hours, or alternate arrangements may be made for prize delivery. Prizes are non-refundable and have no cash transfer value.
Administrators reserve the right to publish the winner’s name and picture as part of the giveaway closing announcement and results, including but not limited to; news releases, social media, and/or website notifications.
