The survey is open year-round from April 2nd to December 31st, 2026.
Overview
The Explore & Win: Carleton Place Visitor Survey (“giveaway”) is being administered by Carleton Place Tourism (“administrator”) in partnership with local tourism stakeholders, including local business owners.
Personal Data Use
All data collected will be used in a strict manner and will be kept confidential unless given permission by the beholder of the information. This feedback will be used to help inform future tourism initiatives.
Eligible respondents who complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win one (1) prize package valued at $1,500, which includes:
Giveaway package:
- 2-Night Stay at Tri Century Mill Suites ($600 value)
- 2 Bicycle (Summer) or Snowshoe (Winter) Rentals ($50 value)
- Downtown Carleton Place Gift Card ($200 value)
- Cooking Class for 2 at Blue Spoon Atelier ($350 value)
- Dinner for 2 at a local restaurant ($150 value)
- Carleton Place local merchandise basket ($250 value)
Eligibility
By participating, survey respondents agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the contest. The giveaway is open to survey respondents who:
- Are at least 19 years of age at the time of entry.
- Have visited Carleton Place in 2026 and do not reside, work, or own property within the Town of Carleton Place.
- Fully completed the online survey with valid information. Incomplete or duplicate surveys will be considered void and not eligible to win.
- Limit one (1) entry per person per calendar month.
- Successfully complete the skill-testing question.
Winners & Prize Collection
One (1) winner will be chosen at random for the prize draw. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be chosen and contacted after the draw date. The winning entry will be verified for eligibility, and the winner will be contacted via email or telephone, depending on the preferred contact method as entered in their survey response.
The contacted winner will have 7 days to respond, in which time they will be called and emailed twice. If no response is received within the allotted time, another winner will be chosen at random.
The prize package can be picked up in person from the Information Centre, (170 Bridge Street, Carleton Place), during regular business hours, or alternate arrangements may be made for prize delivery. Prizes are non-refundable and have no cash transfer value.
Administrators reserve the right to publish the winner’s name and picture as part of the giveaway closing announcement and results, including but not limited to; news releases, social media, and/or website notifications.
