Carleton Place & Beckwith Heritage Museum

Two Centuries of History

Originally the Town Hall and jail and later a school, the museum’s collections and displays – with over 10,000 artifacts – bring bygone days to life.

Knowledgeable staff are available for questions and can provide tours if you make arrangements in advance.

Parking is available at the back, along with a picnic area, a tranquil Victorian garden maintained by volunteers from the Carleton Place and District Horticultural Society, and a restorative labyrinth park.

Call ahead to arrange for a research visit, or access to archival papers or genealogy materials.
