It was not.\nEach dot demanded absolute attention. The wrong distance\, the wrong shade\, the wrong size\, and the whole painting fell apart. Every dot had only one right place\, and it knew it.\nWhat emerged was not a pattern but a conversation. Dot speaking to dot. Color answering color. Tension\, release\, and rhythm unfolding one decision at a time. The process felt less like painting and more like a jazz jam session\, where meaning lives not in the single note\, but in the one that follows.\nThese works are visual improvisations. Carefully reckless. Precisely intuitive. Each painting is a harmony discovered rather than planned\, inviting you to feel the rhythm before you try to understand it.\nStand close. Step back. Let your eyes wander. The dots will do the rest.”

DESCRIPTION:Guest Exhibit – Group Show: Friends of Printmakers \nInked and Pressed Printmaking \nSat. July 18 – Thurs. Aug. 6\nVernissage: Sun. July 19   1 – 4 pm \nThe exhibition highlights printmaking from a traditional and contemporary lens. It brings together a group of artists working with many different printmaking techniques. While some use printmaking to express a shared love of nature\, others use it to engage with contemporary issues and ideas. Using processes such as etching\, lithography\, collagraphy\, woodcuts and linocuts\, the artists embrace the physicality and discipline of printmaking as a way to slow down\, observe closely\, and to connect historical methods to present-day conversations.\nThese works are part of a series of print based mixed media works that reflect on impacts humanity has had on the environment. Each composition developed organically in layers that echo the way ecosystems form and unravel over time\, inviting viewers to look deeper and consider how seemingly distant political and corporate decisions ripple outward\, affecting species\, systems\, and our future.
