SUMMARY:Herbal Infused Oils Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever made a salve and thought you did a pretty good job – until you tried someone else’s and thought… how did they do that? Yours was good. Theirs was great. \nThis happened in my own kitchen. Multiple batches\, years of experimenting – moldy oils\, medicine I wasn’t sure even made it into the oil\, products that didn’t last. Sound familiar? I was frustrated. Curious. Where was I missing the mark? \nWhat hurt the most was the cost of learning. Plants I’d grown or foraged\, oils I’d sourced with care. They gave everything they had – and it felt like I wasn’t honouring them. \nEverything changed when I realized there was far more to preparing herbal infused oils than the pour and store method. Once I got into the details\, the nitty gritty\, my oils went from good to great. \nAnd I want to bring you along for that learning. \nSo you can prepare oils for salves\, lip balms\, body butters\, shampoos and more – that are potent\, shelf-stable\, and truly honour the plants and their medicine.\n_ \nThis workshop welcomes all skill levels and is ideal for anyone interested in making natural\, botanical-based herbal oils — whether for DIY skincare\, sensitive skin needs\, or simply to bring more plant-based goodness into their daily routine. Come learn\, create\, and connect with fellow makers!\n_ \nThis is Part One of a two-part series on preparing herbal infused oils. \nPart One sets the foundation for creating oils with dried plants. \nPart Two — coming this summer — ventures into fresh plants and resins.
